In October 2011, Mary Meeker of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers presented the latest installment in a series of analyses she has produced over the years on the current and future state of digital technologies.  In her new analysis, she focuses on: 

  • How individuals living in non-US markets are driving adoption of major Internet technologies and sites, including Facebook and Google
  • Why the mobile and tablet wars are boiling down to Apple vs. Android and Apple vs Amazon
  • How new technologies, especially in artifical intelligence and voice activated computing (i.e., Siri) will drive how we interact with technology -- the keyboard and mouse will become less important
  • The future of digital technology in a time of great economic uncertaintly
