In September 2009, the Centers for Disease Control's National Center for Health Marketing released a research brief focusing on how to communicate with teens (people aged 12-17 years old). Some of the key findings of CDC's report include:

  • Teens use technology to share information through social networking, blogging, emailing, and texting
  • Most teens (55%) use social networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace
  • Girls and boys use media differently. Boys watch more television and share videos online, while girls blog,
    email, or Instant Message
