The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a 20 year old non-profit that produces anti-drug public service advertising campaigns and educational resources for parents, teens, adults and others. Currently, the Partnership is producing two initiatives, "Check Yourself" (which is targeted toward teens) and "Time to Talk," which is aimed at parents. To expand the reach of these initiatives, the Partnership has launched a three-month mobile marketing campaign designed to:

  • Provide parents with talking points they can use when speaking with their children about substance abuse
  • Encourage teens to reconsider their relationship with drugs
Key Activities:

Partnership has partnered with two agencies, Ringleader Digital and Contagious, to run pro-bono mobile Web banner advertisements featuring information about Time to Talk and Check Yourself. Parents responding to the advertisements will be asked to sign up for tips delivered via SMS. Teens can view the Check Yourself mobile site and share information about the campaign with others.

Results:

As of March 2009, the campaign is being evaluated by Partnership.
